The approach
The Strategy to Execution System
Customer value depends on a joined-up operating system — connecting strategic intent through to how teams learn and adapt. This is the five-stage framework behind all my work.
The problem it solves
Most organisations have the pieces. The problem is connection.
Good strategies. Capable teams. Reasonable processes. But they're not joined up. Strategic intent doesn't reach delivery. Delivery data doesn't inform strategy. Portfolio choices get made in silos. OKRs float free from the work that's actually happening.
The Strategy to Execution System is a framework for building the connective tissue. Each stage reinforces the others. When they're working together, leadership teams gain the visibility and confidence to steer — not just monitor.
It's not a rigid methodology. It's a practical model I adapt to each organisation's context, culture, and starting point.
Strategic Intent
Clarify what matters, what success looks like, and how the organisation will make choices.
Measures & OKRs
Define the outcomes that show real progress — beyond budget, timeline, and feature completion.
Initiatives & Portfolio
Decide which work deserves attention and investment, and which work should stop.
Delivery System
Improve flow, roles, ways of working, and execution confidence so strategy reaches the front line.
Insights & Adaptation
Use data, reviews, and learning to steer change and improve over time — not just report on it.
